Neha Bhasin unveils new song to which she's added a quirky twist to popular Punjabi folk number 'Laung Gawacha'

From being a reality show participant and a member of all-girl band Viva to playback singer, Neha Bhasin has come a long way. The Jag Ghoomeya (Sultan) singer is now coming up with her version of hit Punjabi folk song, Laung Gawacha.

"I wasn't supposed to do this cover, but I sang it for a 30-second commercial, and the feedback was phenomenal. That's when I decided to come out with my own version of the track," says Neha.
Neha has also written lyrics for this reimagining. "Every Punjabi family has their own version of Laung Gawacha, to which they add their own lyrics. I decided to get help from a friend and his mother. They have co-written the song. The track has a lounge mix feel to it," adds Neha.
Neha dons a Victorian look in the video. "I play a doll who is living in a fantasy world. We decided to go with silver hair and a long-sleeved dress with a lot of lace," she says.
Neha has a penchant for folk music. "Folk music has found its way into the hearts of people across age groups. People are experimenting with the genre by incorporating rock, pop and trance into folk songs," she says.
