If you love wearing designer clothes but don't want to shell out big bucks, Secret Wardrobe offers a practical solution to your problem.
The online rental service makes designer wear available for hire at a fraction of the actual cost. Their present collection includes apparel by famous designers such as Wendell Rodricks, Satyapaul, Abraham & Thakore, Sabyasachi, Rohit Bal, Maheka Mirpuri, Anita Dongre, Ranna Gill, Malini Ramani, Sabbah Sharma, Rahul Mishra and Masaba Gupta.
The venture was started by Jessica Gupta, a gradúate of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. She conceptualised Secret Wardrobe while making a documentary film on Indian handlooms.
The range includes outfits for wedding or pre-wedding functions, cocktail parties, etc. They also have a bridal wear range for hire including bridal lehengas, wedding gowns, jewellery and sherwanis.
Thanks to tie ups with different designers, they purchase the outfits at a discounted cost and then rent them out. If you have an outfit, which is still in good condition, you can bring it to them and they will give you 40% of the rental each time it gets rented.
