What does one expect at the Bangalore show?
We'll come out there and rock the place. I know the energy will be super charged and go up and out of the roof, if there is one (laughs). There's also going to be cool, mellower, laid back parts for everyone to enjoy. It's going to be great.

Will you be playing a lot of your old hits or will there be a lot from Twilight Theater? Any unreleased numbers?
We'll do a lot of old hits as well as material from Twilight Theater and the new stuff from Alchemy Vol. 1 too.

How would you describe your sound? Has it altered since it first came into being?
Our sound is very large, very cinematic. It has developed over the years and is still
developing.

What's the story behind the name of the band? How did it happen?
The name describes the way we are as people, and also how we think our music is, how it should feel and does feel. The name speaks of "grace under pressure" and the evanescent nature of all things. So, seize the day, we say. As to how it happened, we simply took time to come up with as many possible names that we could think of in one day. Somewhere along the way we got into this flow state of mind which ultimately caused us to come up with the name.

What are you expecting from your Bangalore fans?
We absolutely want to see them all at the concert, singing the songs and having a good time with us.

What have your previous experiences in India been like? What do you like about the country? How do you think this trip will be different?
India has given us a lot of experiences and stories, but it's also good to return to get some fresh ones to tell. We've had a great crowd of fans here and hope that it will increase manifold. We love the climate and the warm welcoming people and the food.

Where do the band's collective influences lie?
We all have our own musical backgrounds of course, running from heavy metal to classical music and many things in between. We love the fact that we can stay out of most genres. By mixing and matching sounds, vibes and influences from wherever, to get to our own way of expression. I think that's what writing music or making art in general is all about- personal expression. That's where the real fire burns.

Do you listen to Indian music? Name one band/ artist that you as a band admire?
Unfortunately Indian music is not very well known where we live. But as we've travelled to India, some of us have bought music there to listen to. I personally like to listen to a lot of instrumental music and Indian instrumental stuff has some interesting things to offer. But I can't name a specific artist right now.u00a0

How did the band come into being?
In the beginning, the band was formed by Ollie Tukiainen and myself (Marko). We played before in bands and knew we worked together really well. We formed Poets of the Fall just because we wanted to write our own music without anyone with a differing point of view interfering (laughs). We used to go up to my place or to Ollie's to record our ideas and dream of touring the world. A couple of months later Captain(Markus "Captain" Kaarlonen) joined us. We'd worked together on the Late Goodbye single, and Captain had done such awesome work on it that we just had to ask him to join the band. To our luck, he accepted. And here we are, years later, still kicking and screaming.

What are the band's future plans? Any new albums/ singles/ tours lined up?
We are currently working on a new album full of seriously wonderful stuff. A new tour for next year is also on the table. We hope that will bring us to India yet again.
