Parineeti Chopra has also lent her voice for a song in the film. Director- cinematographer Rohit Shetty presented Bhinder with the award at the function.

Dor tells a story of true love and the emotional bonding between a mother and her child. Michael draws a flashback of his childhood and explains to Ria about the tough phase that a mother has to go through when a son leaves her and moves ahead for a better future. Through this story, Michael makes Ria realise what a mother expects from her child.

An elated Bhinder said, “I am overwhelmed. This is my first film and I made it as a gift for my parents. I am grateful to Pocket Films and Worli Festival for recognising my effort.” The young filmmaker has done a course in direction from Whistling Woods.

He has also directed a short film in the past with Mandira Bedi and Sameer Soni in the lead. The music and background music for this film is done by Amal Malik.

A graduate of Bournemouth University, he has done his work placement at Warner Brothers in London for their film Edge of Tomorrow starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.
