just that. Blu-O, the largest play-space of its kind the capital has seen, offers not just a chilled out ambience, great grub and points to score why you engage in nine-pin action, but also a lavish lounge-bar to cosy up and unwind at, later. It is modelled on the lines of Thailand's famous Blu-O bowling alley, and is a joint venture between PVR Cinemas and Major Cineplex, Thailand. We throw the ball in your court.

Spread across 45,000 sq ft, this plush place with bright red, pink and blue lighting on the ceiling has a fashionable 24-lane cosmic bowling alley. On the reasons behind choosing bowling, which never really took off in India, Gautam Dutta, CEO, Blu-O said, "Bowling failed in India because it was pegged as a sporting destination, rather than a place for entertainment. Also, inadequate infrastructure and ambience didn't really appeal much to the audience. PVR revived the movie experience with multiplexes, and now it's the bowling's turn."
Game for it: Out here, they promise you bowling the New Yorker's way. The moment we entered the area, we were convinced that the advertisements matched up to their claim. On the left, were lined up pins decorated with Swarovski, flowers and glitter. The place is divided in two sections of 12 bowling alleys each, all lined up with trainers who will lend helpful tips as you play. "Blu-O is just not a sporting destination; it aims to provide a wholesome entertainment to the people. You can book the lounges and have private parties or can spend some superior time at the bar," Dutta revealed. The hangout is also suited to just chilling and enjoying drinks if playing isn't your thing. Don't miss on the delicious food available here.
Up and coming: Blu-O is all geared up to start with its two Platinum Lounges for private dining. You can also groove at entertainment lounges like the Smoking Lounge, Xbox 360 Entertainment lounge and Youngistaan Bar. The fun doesn't end here. In another fortnight, you can also get yourself a funky tattoo, as they will have an in-house Tattoo Studio and a merchandise room which will offer various souvenirs like coasters, cups and glasses. Go in for prior booking on weekends, as the waiting period goes upto an hour, already!
