Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter vows to return to training after learning about tormentor Holly Holm’s loss to Miesha Tate; says she has 'to get back to work'
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Ronda Rousey is so busy with her non-UFC activities that she did not even bother to watch yesterday’s UFC-196 where her tormentor, Holly Holm battled Miesha Tate and lost.
Holm had knocked out Rousey for the title last year on one of UFC’s biggest upsets. Recently, Rousey revealed that she had contemplated suicide after losing to Holm.

However, yesterday, Rousey preferred to attend a professional wrestling event rather than watch her sport. Rousey was in Los Angeles for the Pro Wrestling All Star Weekend 12, while Holm shockingly surrendered to Tate’s rear naked choke.

UFC boss Dana White immediately texted Rousey to convey the result. “Ronda wasn’t watching the fight. I text Ronda and she said ‘What happened’. I said ‘Miesha just choked her (Holm) unconscious’ and she said, ‘looks like I’ve got to get back to work’,” White told reporters yesterday adding that that Tate will defend her title against Rousey next up.

Rousey has taken time off from UFC
to shoot for a couple of movies and is scheduled to return to the Octagon only around year-end. However, White remains optimistic of an earlier return given shooting for both her movies has yet to begin. “She’s scheduled to not come back until October or November but it doesn’t mean I can’t ask,” White signed off.
