Fifth seed Senhora D'Souza stunned favourite Runa Roy to storm into the women's semi-finals, in the Matunga Gymkhana Mumbai District Ranking Table Tennis Championships on Saturday.
Senhora overcame fourth seed Roy in straight games 11-8, 11-5, 11-8, 11-6 in the best-of-seven quarter-finals. In the other upset of the day, sixth seed Mrunmayee Mhatre beat third seed Sanjukta Sen to a thrilling 11-9, 4-11, 4-11, 11-4, 13-11, 6-11, 11-7 win to join Senhora in the semi-final.
