Kuwait: 10m Air Rifle shooter Pooja Ghatkar shot a world class score of 208.8 to clinch the gold medal in the Asian Championships in Kuwait yesterday.

She emerged victorious beating a strong field of shooters including 2012 London Olympic gold medallist Yi Siling of China who won bronze.
Pooja’s medal gives India its first gold of the 10m Asian Championships 2014. She said, “I am really thrilled by this victory. It will give me a lot of confidence right at the start of the season. I am training very hard for the World Cups this year and also for the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games.”
