Says decision to provide unconditional support to Vishwajeet Kadam was taken after discussing the issue with supporters and activists
Burying all the speculations to rest about him being upset over selection of Vishwajeet Kadam by the Congress party to contest Lok Sabha polls from the Pune constituency, tainted MP Suresh Kalmadi said he was supporting Kadam.

A press release issued by Kalmadi yesterday stated that he had decided to offer unconditional support to Kadam. And the decision was taken after he discussed the issue with his supporters and numerous social activists.
The statement reads: “It gives me immense pleasure to announce my support to Congress candidate Kadam, which is in the best interest of Pune’s future development.”
The statement further reads that in the present political scenario, it was imperative for Kalmadi to take a stand and therefore he chooses to support party’s selection, Kadam.

Mentioning his achievements as an MP for Pune, Kalmadi said, “I have an emotional attachment with Pune, and have always worked hard to keep the city’s name high. I am indebted to Pune and will always remain available to its people in the future.”
