The 20-year-old internet sensation has been invited to join Anna Hazare's anti-corruption drive to mobilise the youth.

In what can only be seen as an acknowledgement of Poonam Pandey's growing popularity, Team Anna member Kiran Bedi has reportedly extended an invitation to the model  to join their anti-corruption campaign.

According to reports, the Ramon Magsaysay Award Winner wants Bollywood celebrities with large fan following joining Team Anna’s crusade for a strong Lokpal Bill. And since Poonam, with over 2 lakh followers on twitter, clearly fits the bill she has been invited to join the social movement and inspire youngsters.

It seems that Team Anna’s hoping the model, who's famous for her racy pictures, will revive people’s flagging interest in their anti-corruption campaign.

The face of Lokpal Bill? Poonam Pandey has clarified that she won't be joining the anti-corruption campaign.

But the model, who has become an internet sensation due to her bold pictures, has clarified that she doesn’t have any intention of joining any social movement. She tweeted, “I don't know why people are asking me m i joining ne movement for Social cause, NO i am NOT…(sic)”.

This though is not her first brush with anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare. In January this year, an exhibition was held in Delhi, which had a number of nude paintings of Vidya Balan, Veena Malik and Poonam Pandey. But due to the nature of the paintings, the artist, Pranava Prakash, was assaulted and many of the artwork ruined. One of the pictures damaged was that of Poonam Pandey in the nude, who was shown wearing a Gandhi cap and supporting Hazare.

Poonam was in the news recently for posting a nude picture of herself after Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) lifted the Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy. The pictures became so popular that for a while she was trending not only in India but worldwide on Twitter.

The 20-year-old, who started off with the Gladrags mega model hunt in 2010, has also signed a film with Jism director Amit Saxena.
