The International Tennis Hall of Fame yesterday suspended former doubles champ Bob Hewitt over allegations that he sexually abused girls he coached.
It did not expel Hewitt because he has not been convicted of a crime, executive director Mark Stenning told the Boston Globe newspaper.u00a0
Hewitt, who was born in Australia, is under investigation in South Africa, where he now lives, but has not been charged. Nearly a dozen women in SA and USA have accused Hewitt of sexual misconduct between 1970s and ’90s the Globe reported. u00a0
