On top of the world

When I first started making this film, people told me it was career suicide. But I went ahead. You can't imagine how I felt when I got the longest standing ovation in Venice! Kalki is simply outstanding in the film. While filming Dev D, I was little restrictive with her, checking on her Hindi and all. But this time I just let her go. The results are fantastic. Women were weeping at the end. They just walked upto Kalki and hugged her.u00a0u00a0

Tryst with Toronto
Toronto is fabulous; the weather is great and people are friendly. We've been watching films throughout the day and go for lovely dinners at night. The films I loved are Aamir Bashir's Harud and Kiran Rao's Dhobi Ghaat. Circus Colombia was also fantastic.
