Starting with, connectivity, the 3.5 mm audio jack makes connecting with most of one’s devices (MP3 players, PC, TV, CD and DVD players) easy; its small size means it can fit easily under your TV cabinet or behind the sofa. You can also attach a USB/SD card reader and play music directly from it. It also comes with an in-built FM player. However, the best thing is that it’s possible to control it from a remote. Just tune in to a favourite radio station, browse through songlists, and relax. And, there’s no need to move from chair to increase or lower the volume.
Initially, we were a bit apprehensive: would this 2.1 system even offer the sound we require for movie viewing? Will the bass meet our requirements? Needless to say, we were blown right from the first track. The woofer comes with 6-inch drivers; its power was obvious, thanks to the vibrating windowpanes in our living room. The satellite speakers were also good and add to the experience. Though, it is priced a bit above our expectations, at '4,990, the A530U is still a steal.
