Putting a fun element to her ministry profile, Textile Minister Smriti Irani, on Monday started a new campaign on Twitter urging people to put up their photos of wearing handloom.
The campaign was to support Indian textiles and craftsmanship.

Soon #IWearHandloom trended over the social networking site politicians like Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Piyush Goyal, Kiren Rijiju among others tweeting their photos.
Twitterverse sure had fun flaunting their 'Indianness' all over the social media.
This Twitter campaign definitely brought smile back on the minister's face who is most of the time courting controversies on social networking site.
