Union Minister Babul Supriyo injured in angry mob attack in West Bengal

Bollywood singer-turned-politician Babul Supriyo on Wednesday was injured after a mob of alleged TMC supporters attacked the union minister's convoy during a rally at Asansol in West Bengal.
The incident occurred when the Union Minister was heading towards the police station. The protestors pelted stones at Babul Supriyo when he tried to get out of the car. He suffered minor injuries.
Supriyo's vehicle was stopped allegedly by Trinamool Congress supporters near Asansol's BNR More and agitators pelted stones at him. One of the bricks hit him on the chest.
Later, the infuriated mob vandalised his vehicle and attacked two other BJP supporters who were accompanying him.
He also tweeted about the incident and his injury marks.

Earlier the day, BJP supporters gheraoed TMC MLA Moloy Ghatak's residence and also staged a road blockade. They alleged that Ghatak had favoured cow smuggling in the area.
