Kim Clijsters has targeted success in the other Grand Slams after claiming her third US Open title with an easy victory over Vera Zvonareva.

Wimbledon runner-up Zvonareva had not dropped a set in reaching her second consecutive Grand Slam final, but produced an error-ridden display as Clijsters successfully defended her title with a comprehensive 6-2 6-1 win.

The 27-year-old Belgian has now won 21 consecutive matches in New York, having triumphed in 2005 and then coming out of retirement last year to win the title again in just the 14th match of her comeback.

However, Clijsters has never won the Australian open, French open or Wimbledon and will now set her sights on filling the big gaps in her CV.

"I would like to (win one of the other Grand Slams)," said Clijsters, who has lost in the French Open final twice and Australian Open final once.

"I will try everything that I can to be in the best shape possible to try and achieve what I've achieved here.

"They all motivate you in a different way.Tactic-wise you always have to adjust a little bit to each and every single one of them.

"But I think the one where I've felt I can do better than I have is obviously at the Australian Open. I've always enjoyed playing there. That's obviously a Grand Slam I want to do well. I want to do well in all of them, of course.

"Wimbledon is the one where I'm close to because I have the connection with my dad there because he enjoyed it there. I always want to do well there, as well.

"The French Open feels like playing in Belgium because we have so many Belgian people supporting us. We have the history of a lot of past Belgians who have won there.

They all have a different impact on the way you feel and a positive impact and I think that's something I want to use when I go back there next year."

Clijsters has already retired once, of course, and admits she could only have two more years to win those other Grand Slam titles.

"I've said I would like to keep it going until the Olympics (in London 2012), but then again, you never know what can happen with injuries," Clijsters added. "My main goal is to try and just stay
injury-free.

"If I can do that and if I can practice hard and work hard, the Grand Slams will always be my focus. Now that I'm playing well, I'm not going to just give it up."--PA Sport
