At about 9.40 am, Kalpana Kalpesh was on her way to board her flight at terminal 1B, when she fell down. This happened when she was moving from the check-in area to 1C Security Hold Area (SHA). “Initially, she claimed that either GVK or the airline should pay for the treatment but was then shifted to hospital,” said an airport official.

Security personnel alerted the Mumbai International Airport Ltd. (MIAL) doctor and medical team on duty, who had her rushed to Nanavati Hospital in the MIAL ambulance. “She had a bone dislocation on her left hand and after getting her plaster done, she left the hospital,” said a doctor from Nanavati Hospital.
