Cruise Appliances, a renowned name in air-conditioning, has been conferred with the MOST PROMISING BRAND OF THE YEAR 2021 Award by Feather Touch.

Feather Touch has also bestowed Roshan Sirohia, the CEO of Cruise Appliances with the Young CEO of the Year Award. Known as Silver Feather Awards, Feather Touch has instituted these awards.

The awards were presented at a gala event in Mumbai on 23rd December, 2021. Bollywood actress, Aditi Govitrikar, gave away the award to the CEO of Cruise Appliances, Roshan Sirohia, who also won the ‘Young CEO of the year’ award. The prestigious Silver Feather Awards are given every year to CEOs, entrepreneurs, and SMEs, among others.
For 34-year-old Roshan Sirohia, innovation is a forte. He has gained an edge in innovation because of his nine years of experience in technology and air conditioning in companies like Arup Ltd, London and Tata Technologies. With a background in innovation design engineering from Royal College of Art and Imperial College, London, Sirohia is well-qualified to head the innovation-led air conditioner manufacturing company.
As a result of his vision and contribution in product design and development at Cruise Appliances, the company has managed to double its revenue since he joined in 2015. In his address to the audience, Mr Sirohia said that his company has managed to beat the slowdown owing to Covid.
“Along with 2020, 2021 has also been a very challenging year, with the second wave of the virus hitting during the peak season, for the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning industry. However, we have managed to grow out of it by engaging with our customers digitally by offering attractive schemes and offers,” said Mr Sirohia.
Mr Sirohia also spoke at length about the challenges that are being faced by family-run businesses. “Concerning my journey at Cruise, I would say that as leaders of tomorrow, we have the responsibility to inspire the older generation as well as the younger generations. Because as we have seen in a family-run business it is tough to get the old and the new to gel together and the pandemic has only exaggerated that. Yet, we hope to get through the journey and get to the finish line collectively,” said Mr Sirohia.
Cruise Appliances has been at the forefront in bringing innovations in air-cooling technology by introducing 0.75 and 1 Ton Window and subsequently Split air conditioners - a concept new to the Indian sub-continent then. These innovations in air cooling technology have improved the performance of the air conditioners, reduced the maintenance cost, and cut down expenditure on energy.
