Dubey's academic pursuits took him on a journey of discovery, from the hallowed halls of the University of Delhi, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in History, to the prestigious Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree. His thirst for knowledge and creative expression led him across the seas to England, where he pursued a Master's degree in Applied Communications from Coventry School of Art and Design, West Midlands. It was during these formative years that Dubey honed his skills in storytelling and communication, laying the groundwork for his future endeavors in literature and film.

In 2003, Dubey embarked on a transformative chapter of his career with a role at the revered BBC World Service in London, where he served as a Presenter and Journalist. His experiences in journalism provided him with a firsthand glimpse into the diverse tapestry of human experiences, inspiring him to delve deeper into the realms of literature and storytelling as a means of connecting hearts and minds across cultures and continents.

His novel, "What A Loser!" (Also written and published as "Loser Kahin Ka!" in Hindi), captured the hearts of readers with its poignant portrayal of life's triumphs and tribulations. The novel quickly soared to the top of national bestseller lists, earning Dubey widespread acclaim and establishing him as a formidable voice in contemporary literature. Subsequent novels, including "Ishqiyapa: To Hell with Love," "Love Curry," and "Trending In Love," further solidified his reputation as a versatile and insightful storyteller, earning him accolades and recognition from literary critics and readers alike. He was also nominated for a prestigious Writer’s Residency in Seoul, South Korea among three novelists in Asia in 2016.

In addition to his literary achievements, Dubey has also been experimenting with other forms of storytelling. He had recently Directed a Short Fiction Maratha Mandir Cinema staring National Award Winners Sarika and Swanand Kirkire. This short was nominated for the finals of Filmfare Awards and later screened at Cannes. He was also adjudged as the Best Debutant Director in Vancouver.

Beyond his creative endeavors, Dubey is a passionate advocate for social change and empowerment. In 2002, he founded the Society for the Promotion and Inculcation of Human Aspirations (SPRIHA), a pioneering organization dedicated to nurturing empathy and imagination in children through innovative media initiatives. He initiated India’s first Street Film Festival for the children of slums and villages by the name of Sadak Chhaap Film Festival.

Pankaj Dubey groundbreaking work in this field earned him the Youth Icon Award for Social Entrepreneurship in 2010, as well as other prestigious honors, including the Global Innoventure Award for Literature and Storytelling in the House of Lords, British Prliament, UK in 2018.
