She was conferred upon with this honorary doctorate by the Global University, Banglore at a glittering ceremony organized at Vasco da Gama, Goa at the worthy hands of Union Minister of State for Tourism, Ports, Shipping & Waterways Hon.Mr.Shripad Naik.
Over the last 25 years, Mrs. Agrawal, through her organizations namely 'Suprayas Foundation', 'Marwaris in Thane Welfare' and 'International Marwari Federation', has been consistently catering to tribals, and to the poor, needy, and helpless section of society, by providing them with educational, medical, and other necessary facilities.
National Secretary of the Akhil Bhartiya Agrawal Sammelan, Summan is also an active member of many NGOs including Rotary International and Lions Club.
Summan Agrawal has been honoured with countless awards in the past. During the ceremony held in Goa, Mrs. Agrawal's son Anuj R Agrawal, who holds an MS degree from United States, was present to witness the event along with several eminent personalities from diverse fields.
