She has been the face of several brands over the years and during a promotional event, organized a while back, Gehna had the opportunity to meet and interview Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
Calling it one of the most memorable experiences of her life, Gehna says, “Meeting Salman Khan was an unforgettable experience. Being an influencer, I have met many prominent personalities as a part of my job. Meeting Salman, however, was a very unique experience. As soon as he walks into a room, you realize the kind of aura and magnetism he has. When you spend some time talking to him, you understand why he is the megastar he is. Despite being such a huge superstar, Salman is very grounded, chilled out and makes you feel extremely comfortable in his presence. He is a superstar with a heart of gold.”

Though it was a brief meeting, Gehna got to ask the young actress about her journey in the film industry so far and making heads turn with her unique sense of fashion. Despite hailing from a film family, Gehna states that Jahnvi is extremely grounded and has the kind of humility that inspires you.

Born and raised in the UAE, Gehna grew up on a healthy diet of Hindi films, just like most people of Indian origin settled in this part of the world do. She, in fact, credits her love for Hindi cinema for making her want to carve out a career in the media and entertainment industry. As a child, she hadn’t imagined that one day she would get to interact with all those stars whose films she had grown up watching on DVDs. While she admired many Bollywood stars, Salman was always her favourite.
“Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! influenced and inspired me the way very few films have. It was a film that had familial values and all those elements that we look forward to seeing in an out-and-out commercial Hindi film. It was also the film that made me a fan of Salman Khan for life. When I met him, I asked him several pertinent questions to the work he has done over the years. It’s interesting how he started off with romantic films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Love and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! and then, built an image for himself as an action star with movies like Wanted, Dabangg and Ek Tha Tiger. My favourite film of Salman from recent years is Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, she says.
In the last few years, Gehna has collaborated with several Bollywood stars for leading brand campaigns and other promotional activities. Bollywood actors, as it is commonly known, keep visiting UAE for events, functions and other work commitments. For many of them, UAE has become synonymous with Gehna as this multifaceted artist has carved a niche for herself in the media and entertainment industry based in the region and helped bridge the gap between Hindi cinema fans in the diaspora and the stars whom they have been fans of.
