The UAE Consulate and DP World hosted a Women Empowerment Initiative in Mumbai, celebrating women leaders and entrepreneurs.

The Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Mumbai, in collaboration with DP World, hosted the Women Empowerment Initiative-2025, a landmark event celebrating women entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers from diverse industries.
Among the distinguished guests was Farah Sultan Ahmed-film producer, entrepreneur, real estate developer, and women’s empowerment advocate-whose presence celebrated the spirit of cross-cultural collaboration and women’s leadership.
Farah Sultan Ahmed, wife of the late filmmaker Sultan Ahmed (renowned Producer and Director) and Proprietor of Think Big Entertainment, has built a distinguished career in film production, real estate development, and business aggregation. Her outstanding contributions have been recognized by the World Book of Records.
Speaking at the event, Farah Sultan Ahmed said: “Women today are no longer waiting for opportunities-they are creating them. Empowerment begins with education, confidence, and collaboration. I believe when women come together, they don’t just build businesses, they build stronger societies. It is an honor to be part of this initiative that celebrates women as leaders, innovators, and change-makers.”
The Consul General, H.E. Abdulla Husein Salman Mohamed Al-Marzooqi, delivered a keynote address on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, marking 50 years of progress under the theme “Hand in Hand.” His Excellency emphasized that women are not merely participants in development but true drivers of progress-serving as ministers, ambassadors, entrepreneurs, scientists, and leaders in every sphere.
The Women Empowerment Initiative-2025 concluded with women entrepreneurs celebrating the UAE as a global example of equality, inclusivity, and opportunity.
