A recent report by Tech Informer claimed that Tanmay Bhat is currently the richest YouTuber in India with a net worth of Rs 665 crore. Tanmay, one of the first successful Indian YouTubers and co-founder of the popular channel AIB, topped the list, which soon went viral on social media. The second spot was held by Technical Guruji with a reported net worth of Rs 356 crore-  almost half of Tanmay’s estimated wealth.

While the list circulated widely, Tanmay himself reacted to it. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, “Bhai itne paise hote toh main YouTube membership nahi bech raha hota” (If I had that much money, I wouldn’t be selling YouTube memberships).

Tech Informer, in a social media post, stated, “Content creation in India has grown into a multi-crore industry- from comedy to tech, education to lifestyle- creators are building huge audiences and wealth, proving how powerful the digital economy has become.”

The list highlights how YouTube content creation has evolved into a structured, high-value profession. Creators now earn through multiple sources such as live events, brand collaborations, ad revenue, and merchandise.

The top five names also include Bhuvan Bam (BB Ki Vines) with Rs 122 crore, followed by Amit Bhadana (Rs 80 crore), Triggered Insaan (Rs 65 crore), Dhruv Rathee (Rs 60 crore), BeerBiceps’ Ranveer Allahbadia (Rs 58 crore), and Sourav Joshi (Rs 50 crore), rounding off the top ten list.

Who is Tanmay Bhat?

Tanmay Bhat is an Indian YouTuber, comedian, entrepreneur, and writer best known for co-founding the now-dissolved comedy group All India Bakchod (AIB). He transitioned from being a stand-up comedian to becoming one of India’s most influential digital creators and investors.

In 2012, Tanmay co-founded All India Bakchod (AIB) along with Gursimran Khamba, Rohan Joshi, and Ashish Shakya. AIB became a cultural phenomenon through its YouTube sketches, roasts, and political satire, including the viral AIB Knockout featuring Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor.

After AIB’s dissolution, Tanmay launched his own YouTube channel in mid-2019, where he posts vlogs, comedy sketches, reaction videos, and gaming content. His main channel now has millions of subscribers, along with a secondary channel, Honestly by Tanmay Bhat, dedicated to niche content.
