"No, no I won't," was his definite reply on being asked whether he was thinking of joining politics. Post the terror attacks, Aamir had said he dreaded to think of how various political parties are now going to try and use this tragedy to further their political careers.
That's when the star had urged leaders to field young, dyanamic, honest, intelligent and upright leaders who actually care for the country.
The star also agrees with Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss' stance about creating awareness among people about the ill-effects of smoking and drinking but said the government should not to impose a ban on films.
"They can make a 1-minute film explaining the ill-effects of smoking and screen it before the screening of the film. As film stars we are ready to create awareness about it in public," he said. "But censoring smoking scenes from films is not right because as filmmakers we have to show good things and bad things together," he added.
