Is whisked away to a police station; is set free soon

Yesterday morning, on landing in Mumbai after an overseas shoot, Akshay Kumar was whisked away to Vakola police station over the obscenity charge following his 'unbuttoning' incident at a fashion show.

He was accompanied by his lawyer and was promptly released on bail. The actor later drove off to Karjat to join Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to shoot for Vipul Shah's Instant Replay.

Self-styled social worker Anil Naik, who filed a case against Akki and his wife, is a serial celebrity harasser.

Says a source close to Akshay, "This man earlier filed similar obscenity complaints against others stars. He thrives on getting publicity from seeking out celebrities and harassing them."
