Last week, when HITLIST reported the Sanjay-Manaayata's party plan, ('Dutts make it a grand second') a source close to Akshay had revealed that the actor had not been invited. Later that night, Dutt called up Akki and asked him to join them for the celebrations.
Couldn't make it
A source says, "Though most people who were invited turned up for the party (and some like Ajay Devgn and Karan Johar didn't as they were out of town) Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle couldn't make it. Sanju called Akki thrice and even left a message with his PA Xenobia but there was only silence from the Khiladi's side. He did not call back or even acknowledge Sanju's text message. Naturally, this has upset Sanju and he now regrets even calling Kumar.
A surprise
Akshay's indifference comes as a surprise as the actor had made an appearance at Dutt's residence for maata ki chowki last year putting an end to the cold war that began during the shooting for Anthony D' Souza's Blue. "Things appeared to have been sorted out between Sanju and Akshay till this happened last week again."
However Sanju Baba is quick to dispel the rumours, "I am not upset at all. There's no problem.
In fact Akshay messaged me at night saying he was unable to attend as Twinkle's family function that he had previously committed to and added that otherwise he would have been there." A source close to Akshay confirms what Dutt says. "Akshay called Sanju and explained why he couldn't attend." The both insist Aal Is Well. So what are we? Idiots?
