Amitabh Bachchan reflects on the idea of owning 'excess'

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has shared a contemplative note on the idea of excess and the lingering imprint of one’s early years, saying that the joy of limited means can never truly be replaced by abundance acquired later in life. Taking to his blog, the icon reflected on how one’s upbringing and the years of growing up with less remain etched in memory, regardless of present success or prosperity. “Where you grew up from, shall ever remain with you .. what you progressed from, shall ever remain with you .. elements of the past growing years can never be forgotten, and equating them with present times is a misnomer (sic),” Big B wrote. “If you have lived with less .. excess now strikes an unbalanced balance .. you know what was then .. and to be surrounded now by the now, shall never allow you to be in comfort .. not the comfort of living style .. but the comfort of the less ..(sic)” added the octogenarian. The 81-year-old icon expressed that those who have lived with limited resources often find that excess in later years brings with it a certain imbalance. “When you have just one .. having many now, in time, gives unpleasantness or a distance that creates disturbance .. comparing the two worlds shall ever produce this dichotomy (sic).” Sharing an example, the thespian said that the happiness of owning just one new pair of shoes in earlier days can never be matched by possessing countless pairs now. “The utmost joy of that new pair of shoes, then, can never be balanced by the countless you may possess now… possession of something that was not affordable then, may give joy .. but it shall ever remain temporary .. how much excess will you carry till the end. (sic).” On February 10, the icon noted that while it may be early for his blog, responsibilities demanded a change in routine. “It is rather early for the Blog... but some meetings have been set for an early morning hence this timing,” he wrote in the blog. Reflecting on his professional journey, the thespian expressed that his efforts are gradually bearing fruit, adding that being engaged in meaningful work is essential. He also underscored the importance of staying engaged. “Work efforts slowly fructifying and hope that one can be occupied in the time of work .. it is essential .. absence of work has detrimental feelings, and so work work work .. till you can ..More later,” he concluded the post. Riteish Deshmukh celebrates 24 years of togetherness with Genelia D'Souza

Bollywood power couple Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh are celebrating 24 years of togetherness, offering fans a heartfelt glimpse into their enduring love story. Beginning from their early days of friendship to building a family together, the duo is known for consistently setting major couple goals. Taking to their respective social media handles, Genelia and Riteish shared heartwarming posts, offering a nod to their journey.           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Riteish Deshmukh (@riteishd) "Exactly 24 years ago, our hearts found each other and never let go. You've been my safe place, my wildest adventure, my softest dream come true. Thank you for choosing me every single day. My friend, my lover, my forever baiko... I am endlessly, hopelessly in love with you," Riteish wrote in his post. The actor also added their old pictures, seemingly from their dating days as both Genelia and Riteish appear visibly younger. Reacting to the post, Genelia wrote, "Always Forever riteishd. I love being in love with you even 24 years later." While fans couldn't help but adore the couple, their friends from the industry also showered love in the comment section. Actors Bobby Deol and Suniel Shetty dropped heart emojis, while Anupam Kher added, "You both are the bestest. May God bring you both together in all your other lives." On the other hand, Genelia also shared a picture with her husband on her Instagram story and wrote, "24 years and nothing Eva changes." Riteish and Genelia made their Bollywood debuts with the 2003 film Tujhe Meri Kasam. They fell in love with the sets of the film and have been together for over two decades now. Genelia and Riteish tied the knot on February 3, 2012. They welcomed their son Riaan in November 2014 and their second son Rahyl in June 2016. Earlier in a conversation with ANI, Riteish Deshmukh spoke about his married life, explaining how he prioritises Genelia's needs. "I think that eventually, every couple will figure out their equilibrium in their relationship. I can only say what the three things in my relationship on which I concentrate are. I feel that in a relationship, a couple of things that are very important and prime most are respect. If you respect your partner immaterial of anything. That respect should be there even when you are arguing. Because when you argue, there is a time when it slips. And then you start disrespecting. Once it comes, that crack, it is always visible. So be very careful. It's like a broken plate; you stick it together. Even then, you see the crack. That's why do not lose respect. If you think that you are going to say something because of which things can get worse, then be quiet. So one is respect. Second is the needs of your partner should be above your needs. It's not what you want. Her needs should be above yours. These are two things if you follow. And have a sense of humour," he said. On the work front, Riteish Deshmukh has an exciting lineup of films in the pipeline, including Raja Shivaji and Dhamaal 4. This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies. It's got a new energy to it and that's Sreeti's, the director's energy and her new sort of take on it and I feel that there's something there which the audience is in for a surprise for." Meanwhile, at the event, Kelly Day, Vice President of Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios International, revealed that the Spanish-language movies in the Culpables franchise (Culpa Mia, Culpa Tuya, Culpa Nuestra) have been watched by over 100 million viewers worldwide. This is happening more frequently, and Prime Video is where that's happening." Aditya Pancholi

Aditya Pancholi moves Bombay High Court to quash 2019 rape FIR

Aditya Pancholi is one of the popular actors of the ’90s, predominantly known for playing grey characters. While his career boasts an impressive filmography, the actor has found himself in hot water over controversies for several reasons. In 2019, a popular actress accused Aditya Pancholi of rape. The actor has now filed a plea in the Bombay High Court to quash the FIR filed against him. Aditya Pancholi’s plea to quash FIR The Bombay High Court, on Thursday, heard a petition filed by Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi, seeking to quash a rape FIR (including IPC Section 376 and other sections) filed against him in 2019 at Mumbai's Versova Police Station. Appearing for the actor, advocate Prashant Patil reiterated the plea to set aside the FIR. While Pancholi has been named as an accused in the matter, the complainant is a female Bollywood actress. Advocate Prashant Patil revealed that the public prosecutor, appearing for the police, stated that despite 11 notices sent by the police, the victim did not appear for the investigation. Following this, the Bombay High Court issued a fresh notice on Thursday, directing her to appear on the next date, scheduled for February 24. The FIR registered against Aditya Pancholi on June 27, 2019, continues to stir controversy. The accused claimed that the complaint was filed nearly 15 years after the alleged incident, describing it as “malicious.” Citing the Supreme Court’s ‘Bhajan Lal’ judgment, the petition argues that the case falls within the parameters where criminal proceedings can be set aside. Aditya Pancholi on recording presented to court Prashant Patil shared that an individual met Aditya Pancholi before the incident, and a recording of the meeting remains with them. The recording has been presented in court, alleging wrongful intention behind registering the complaint again. The case currently remains pending before the court, with the next hearing set for February 24, 2026. About charges against Aditya Pancholi In 2019, the Mumbai Police filed an FIR under charges of alleged rape against Pancholi based on a complaint by a Bollywood actress. In the complaint filed at Versova Police Station, Pancholi was charged under Sections 376 (rape), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison), 384 (extortion), 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Soon after the FIR was filed, the actor asserted that he was “falsely implicated in this case.”
