Anurag Kashyap will be a part of the international jury at this year's Venice Film Festival. The jury will be headed by the Academy-winning Ang Lee and they will judge the films screened in the 10-day extravaganza that begins on September 2.

The filmmaker is a first timer on the jury while the others are regulars at the oldest film festival in the world.
Kashyap says, "It is an honour to be a part of such a prestigious jury. I have been with the jury of many film festivals but it is for the first time that I am going to be part of an international one. It is a major experience for me."

The director will leave for Venice on August 26 and will be there for the entire duration of the festival. Kashyap's fellow judges are French actress Sandrine Bonnaire, Italian filmmaker Liliana Cavani, American director Joe Dante, as well as Italian rocker Luciano Ligabue.
