Actor-couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have reportedly heightened security outside their Mumbai residence soon after the actor received a threat message on Tuesday evening. An official letter was sent from their housing complex to the Dadar Police Station. The letter revealed that the couple have deployed additional armed personnel outside their residence. This comes after several reports claimed that the Dhurandhar star had received a threatening message via a WhatsApp voice note. Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone tighten security Hindustan Times reportedly accessed the letter sent to the Dadar Police Station, which stated that the couple had deployed six armed security personnel without seeking the ‘permission’ of the Society Managing Committee. Additionally, another uniformed police personnel was also stationed with the two actors, the letter added. Meanwhile, the Committee voiced thier ‘serious concern’ for the safety and comfort of the other residents of the complex in the letter. They mentioned that the armed personnel were moving around with weapons in the lobby, gymnasium and children's area. The open letter urged immediate verification from the Mumbai Police department and clarification on whether permission for the security personnel had been granted. Ranveer Singh receives an extortion threat After the firing incident outside the house of superstar director Rohit Shetty, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has now received a threat from an unidentified source. The actor received the threat in the form of a WhatsApp voice note. A report from India Today claimed that Ranveer informed the Mumbai Police after receiving the extortion threat, after which security outside his residence was immediately heightened. The security has been beefed up outside Ranveer Singh's house after the voice note was sent to him, demanding crores of rupees through the message, after which the Mumbai Police was informed. Police have launched a manhunt for the sender of the threatening voice note. Earlier, shots were fired outside director Rohit Shetty's house. The investigation by the Mumbai Crime Branch has revealed that the vehicle used in the firing was sourced from Pune. For the uninitiated, five rounds of bullets were fired at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's Juhu residence. An exclusive footage, shot by IANS, shows three bullet holes on the building. Rohit Shetty's home has two gates, and more than 10 CCTVs can be seen across the tower. After the shooting, the suspects managed to escape from the scene. The Manoj Bajpayee-starrer is set to get a new title, following multiple FIRs, protests and calls for a ban. However, after the decision, Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) president BN Tiwari has reacted to the decision, saying that merely changing the title is “not enough”. FWICE demands screening of Ghooskhor Pandat In an interview with Hindustan Times, BN Tiwari demanded that the filmmakers must hold a special screening of the film for the concerned community to secure their approval before releasing it to the public. “We are fine with the decision to change the title, but that alone is not enough. We would like to watch the film and understand how the community is depicted, as a title usually stems from the essence of the narrative,” Tiwari told the portal. He further said, “We are shocked and surprised that such big names involving Neeraj and Manoj did this, and used a name of the community in the title. Title kahani se hi banta hai aur related hota hai isiliye community ke liye screening honi chaiyeh (The title is derived from the story, that’s why we want a screening for the community). The film should not be released without a screening. The makers need to get a go-ahead from the community before releasing it. If they get it, then we don’t have any issue with it.” FWICE president threatens consequences The FWICE President also warned of action if the makers proceed with the release without holding the screening. Tiwari claimed that the makers did not get the title registered with the film body. “In fact, I also reached out to other concerned bodies, and they, too, stated that the title is not registered with them. If they would have got the title registered with us, we would have raised our concerns at that moment only,” he stated. Warning the makers of strict action if they go ahead with the release without hosting a screening for both the film bodies and the community beforehand, Tiwari added, “Screening dhikhae bina nahi release hogi… Agar makers nahi mante toh non-corporation notice dal denge aur aage unke saath kaam nahi karenge (The film will not be released without a screening. If the makers do not agree, we will issue a non-cooperation notice and will not work with them going forward)."

According to the Crime Branch, the people who bought the vehicle and reached Mumbai do not know who the shooter is, later it was Shubham Lonkar who ordered the shooter to pick up the vehicle from where it was left and fire. According to the police, in previous crimes, a similar modus operandi is followed in which several small groups are hired for a crime but it is also taken care that one group does not know about the other group. Kunal Om opened up about his experience working with Avinash Tiwary and Vishal Bharadwaj. Kunal shared that he was drawn to Flamenco after discovering the connection between his Rajasthani roots and Flamenco, as it is inspired by the traditional dance of the Romani people. He surrendered himself completely to flamenco and trained with the most acclaimed maestros in Spain for several years. He is also known for experimenting with flamenco, creating a fusion with kathak, as well as with Rajasthani folk, Qawwali, and Bollywood music. He recently performed at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival. Now, Kunal is all set to bring flamenco to Bollywood by choreographing a dynamic, never-seen-before sequence for Avinash Tiwary. Kunal Om on working with Vishal Bhardwaj Vishal Bharadwaj is known for his artistic sensibilities, so it was no surprise when Kunal divulged that Bhardwaj was familiar with the dance form and was keen to incorporate it in his film. He received a call from Bhardwaj's office and was called for a meeting, during which he was left in awe of Bhardwaj's humility and artistic vision. Though Bhardwaj had a distinct vision for the sequence, he had faith in Kunal’s choreography skills and gave him complete artistic freedom. “I wanted to prove my mettle and give my best to live up to Vishal ji's expectations. With his guidance, the sequence has come out really well. He gave me the liberty to create and explore. His passion towards flamenco was so encouraging and addictive. I am blessed that my journey started with him. He’s a gem of a person, a dynamic director, and he understands all elements and facets of art. It was so nice to see a person of his stature bringing out something so different.” Kunal Om on training Avinash Tiwary Talking about working with Avinash Tiwary, who plays a bullfighter named Jalal in the film, Kunal couldn't stop heaping praises on the actor. He revealed that he did a lot of one-on-one work with Tiwary to train him for the sequence. When asked about the difficulty of adapting flamenco for a non-dancer like Tiwary, Kunal remarked that he faced no challenges due to Tiwary’s patience and dedication. "Avinash wanted to completely immerse himself in the culture to lend authenticity to his performance." Citing an example of his commitment, he stated. "Avinash went the extra mile and did his own research about flamenco by watching videos of performances and studying the body language to prepare." Ansh, an actor and content creator, is best known for his Instagram page titled Bigg Nerds, where he creates comedic reels. In the film, he plays the role of Adarsh Gourav's best friend and manager. He was approached for the role by director Bejoy Nambiar, who saw his content on social media. Ansh Chopra shares how the cast pranked each other Talking about his experience on set, Ansh stated that it was extremely fun performing with Adarsh and Shanaya because they instantly made him feel comfortable during the initial ice-breaking sessions. They were also given leeway to improvise. “Bejoy sir was open to everything, and whenever we asked if we could improvise a scene, he told us to go ahead. We pranked everyone on set - Shanaya, Adarsh, Parul (Gulati).” Ansh recalled how he became the victim of a prank on his very first day on set. Notably, the decision comes after the producers of the film, including streaming platform Netflix, informed the Delhi High Court that they are going to change the name of the movie. Netflix to change the name of Ghooskhor Pandat The decision of the producers was informed before Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav, who was dealing with a petition that sought a stay on the release of the film due to its 'offensive' and 'defamatory' title. "The producer has taken a conscious decision in light of the concern that has arisen to change the title of the film from Ghooskhor Pandat to an alternate title which more accurately reflects the film's narrative and intent," recorded Justice Kaurav. Netflix's senior counsel further added that the film, which is in editing stage, is a purely fictional police drama, and the title gave rise to "unintended interruptions" which did not align with the film's content. They also informed the court that all promotional material has also been taken down. In view of the decision taken by Netflix, the court closed the proceedings on the petition, observing that "nothing more was required to be adjudicated". About the controversy Netflix's announcement of the film, directed by filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, earlier this month sparked a storm on social media, with many users terming the title 'casteist' and offensive. A massive row erupted after social media users criticised the title of the film, calling it derogatory towards the Brahmin community. Apart from this, multiple FIRs were filed seeking a ban on the release of the project. A writ petition filed in the Delhi High Court challenged the show’s proposed release, claiming that its title and promotional content are defamatory and communally sensitive. Parallelly, political protests have erupted in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, with members of Brahmin organisations demanding a ban and accusing the project of targeting a particular community.
