Living with a burn mark on your face isn't easy. But if you have to sit for two hours in one place to get that mark, then the task seems even tougher.

Actress Jaya Binju, Rukmini of Kesariya Balam Aavo Mhare Des, sits patiently in front of the mirror almost thrice a week, while make-up man Sandeep works magic on her left cheek.

CS went to the sets of the serial to check out how the make-up, that's made Jaya famous, is done.

Jaya comes in at least three hours early on the sets before she is to shoot her first shot.

As her make-up is getting done, other actors drop in her room for some gossip. Once the base make-up is in place, Sandeep starts work on the burn.

He first pastes a rubber patch on Jaya's cheek. Then he applies latex on the patch. Once it dries up, the patch is painted to achieve the scar effect.

All this while, Jaya either reads or is busy with her mobile. But once the make-up is done, she takes over and settles her hairline and does the final touch up.

So every time you see Rukmini on your TV screen, know that she's worked hard at her make-up as well as her role.
