The Cine and Television Artistes' Association (CINTAA) has lodged a complaint at the Oshiwara police station against a criminal activity which involved someone creating a fake email address of the association and inviting members to hold a morcha outside their own premises last Saturday evening.

Dharmesh Tiwari, general secretary, CINTAA says, “We want the police to find out who has created a fake email address and misused it against us.”

About 300 character actors and some members of the Aam Aadmi Party had gathered outside the office of the association at Oshiwara on Saturday. They were demanding an increase in conveyance and immediate payment after shooting.

The actors have been alleging that they have to wait for even a small amount of money for 90 days which is not acceptable. One of the CINTAA members is on an indefinite hunger strike since last week.

An industry source said, “CINTAA has been discussing the issue with the other four producers’ associations and most actors support us knowing that CINTAA is fighting for their dues, but there are some errant members who are against the present committee and are creating problems. In fact, they are working against their own association.”
