They need to be under 25 years of age and direct a short film on the theme: Mumbai, The Metropolis.
A panel consisting of experts will select the top 20 films from the entries.
The shortlisted films will be screened at the fest and win cash prizes. The festival will also have 32 students across colleges from Mumbai to be Mumbai's Young Critics.
