An awards function to honour women achievers was held at a suburban hotel on Saturday night. Arshad Warsi and Dia Mirza performed to songs from their upcoming film. Sushmita Sen collected her award, stayed for a while and left - still an hour before Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrived. Coincidentally, both of them dedicated their awards to their mothers and even introduced them on stage. Other celebrities spotted enjoying themselves were Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi, Poonam Dhillon, yesteryear villain Ranjit, Aruna Irani, Madhur Bhandarkar, Satish Shah, Bhagyashree, Shammi, Asha Parekh, Zoya Akhtar, Mugdha Godse, designer Archana Kochchar, choreographer Saroj Khan, models Pooja Chopra and Yukta Mookhey and a host of television stars including Ronit Roy. Finalists of a reality dance competition also performed at the event.
