After making four films as a director, Apoorva Lakhia is now turning producer. Here's talking to the man...
So, a producer now!
Yes, I am launching my production company called Idiot Box Films, in association with Moser Baer Entertainment 
and my first film is titled Hide and Seek. It will be directed by my long-time assistant Shawn Arrahna.
Why the shift?
There is no such shift as yet. I had the idea for Hide And Seeku00a0 for sometime now and was developing it.u00a0 When I was trying to see my options as to who would produce it, my EP Laxmi asked me, 'why don't youu00a0 produce it yourself' and that's when I met Mr Harish Dayani of Moser Baer and things started to roll.
Aren't production hasslesu00a0 tiresome for a a creative guy?
I have a group of people who have worked with me on all the films I've made till date from the cinematographer to the sound guy andu00a0 all of them are working on this project as well. As a director, we are used to getting what we want dropped at our doorstep but now I am realising how tough life can be for a producer. I have a newfound respect for producers.
Why not direct for your own production house?
I will wait to see how this film fares at the box-office.
You've always said that Abhishek Bachchan will always be a part of your films in some form or the other, is that true of your production as well?
Nothing is finalised right now. Currently, I am busy getting things together for the shoot.u00a0 I intend to finish the shooting of the film in 30 days flat. Later on, maybe I will rope in Abhishek for a song or something.
What's the star cast like?
We have got Purab Kohli, Arjan Bajwa, Ajaz Khan (of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na), Sameer Kochar and we are going to introduce Miss India 2008 Amruta Patki.
