Govinda has never hesitated from acknowledging Salman Khan’s support; he has always been vocal about being there for the latter, who stood by him after his stint in politics. And so it comes as a surprise that Chi Chi has in fact, turned down Salman’s latest offer.

The Dabangg actor had offered Govinda the lead role in a Being Human production that is believed to be the Hindi remake of Mahesh Manjrekar’s Marathi film Sikhshanacha Aaicha Gho.

Given that the two actors share a good equation, Salman asked Mahesh Manjrekar to approach Govinda for Sachin Khedekar’s role in the film. After the first narration though, Govinda wanted the script to accommodate some changes.

“There were certain things in the script that I didn’t agree with and I made it clear to Mahesh that I wanted them changed. But I think he wasn’t ready to do it. So it made sense for me to opt out of the project,” said Govinda to MiD DAY.

The producers of the Hindi remake, meanwhile, are still looking for Govinda’s replacement; it is likely that Salman Khan will put in a guest appearance to boost the film’s box office opening.
