"I wish Vidya all the best and I hope the movie does well at the Box office," Bachchan said.

Meanwhile, Verma insisted that the film is not about media bashing and does not present the entire media industry in negative light.

"The film is not about media bashing, it just shows the rise of media and how business and politics affect its transparency. The potential is scary and that is what the film explores. I love the film and I hope the audience loves it too," Verma said.

Apart from Verma and Big B, the premier was also attended by the megastar's son Abhishek Bachchan, his wife actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and other actors from the movie including Ritesh Deshmukh and Gul Panag.

"Whenever my dad and Ram Gopal Verma come together they create something memorable for the audience, I think 'Rann' will be a very good film that you will enjoy," Abhishek said.
