80 years young Shammi
Shammi turned 80 on Sunday and her son Iqbal Rizvi held a bash at a suburban Chinese restaurant on Saturday night to bring in the veteran actress's birthday. The Bachchans Jaya (one of Shammi's closest friends), Abhishek (who described Shammi aunty as "my oldest friend")u00a0 and Aishwarya Rai were amongu00a0 the first to arrive.

Shammi's best friend Asha Parekh played the hostess as did another dear friend, Waheeda Rehman. Says Shammi, "I guess it was the culmination of all the goodwill I've generated 60 years in the industry have just flown by."

A Juhu birdie tells us, "Esha Deol's looooong absence from B-Town was because she checked herself into rehab. The actress has been MIA from the B-Town radar completely and is not on a sabbatical as is being claimed." Now that's truly like the Hollywood stars, no? I love both these films because of Sridevi. I adore her and am her biggest fan.u00a0 Naagin is my favourite because of the drama and the twists. Chandni is easily one of Sridevi's most mesmerising performances. After watching her films, I have done everything possible to emulate her. All my comic performances especially Golmaal Returns have been inspired by Sridevi.

I have seen this film starring Jaya Prada and Jeetendra some 12 times! It is a typical Hindi film story. Zu Zu Zu is my favourite song from the film. I can still watch it and have a great time.
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge
It is the most romantic film in the history of Indian cinema with my other two favourite actors Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in it. I cried, laughed and cheered for Raj and Simran. Whenever I watch the re-runs, it brings back a lot of memories attached with it.
Andaaz Apna Apna
This is one of the best comedies ever made. I still watch it when I am down and have lovely memories of watching it with my brother when mom and dad went out. The script, dialogues, everything was so perfect! Its so funny that whenever I watch it I still end cracking up.
