Sajid Khan forgot (conveniently?) to invite Deepika Padukone and Jiah Khan for Housefull producer Sajid Nadiadwala's surprise birthday party
Is there a problem between Sajid Khan and two actresses from his next film, Housefull? One would think so. While the rest of the cast (Akshay, Riteish, Arjun, Lara, Jaceqeline) and crew was present at producer Sajid Nadiadwala's birthday on Thursday, both Deepika Padukone and Jiah Khan were absent. Actually, they weren't invited. And it wasn't the first time this happened.
A confession to make
Now, Housefull director Sajid Khan, who planned the whole evening, forgot (or so he says) to invite them to his producer's surprise birthday party at a suburban hotel last Thursday night. When the guests turned up at the hotel and asked about Deepika and Jiah's absence, Khan confessed that he had forgotten to invite them.
Wardha was upset
Akshay then told him that even if it was late, Khan should at least inform the actresses about the party. Khan texted Deepika and Jiah but obviously they didn't come." Nadiadwala's wife Wardha was upset as she felt it reflected badly on her and her husband for no fault of their own. When contacted Sajid says defensively, "Why are you trying to create trouble between my heroines and me? I sent texts to Deepika and Jiah at the last minute because I wasn't sure where we were having the party. We packed up at 10 pm and then went for the party."
Sajid adds that Randhir Kapoor's bash was a party meant only for the "boys." Deepika and Jiah remained unavailable for comment.
