Jagmohan Mundra has decided to disassociate himself from the film Chase. The director has sent a letter to producer Anuj Saxena of Maverick Productions to stop him from using his name for the thriller.
Says a source, "Jagmohan has made it clear to the production house that they cannot refer to it as a film by Jagmohan Mundra."

Adds the source, "Jag did not want the modifications that were desired at the edit stage. Anuj has his own mind as a producer and as he is an actor, too, he wanted everything to be right. But Jag was adamant about not making any alterations or heeding to any different thoughts."

The final print of Chase, which is slated to release on April 30, will be an amalgamation of what Jag edited along with the changes that were made. The film will, however, have Mundra's name as director in the credit list.
Anuj remained unavailable for comment while Jag maintains, "I would not like to take credit for something I have not done. What has happened is against artistic integrity. When creative decisions are being taken by someone else, it cannot be a film by Jag Mundra."

Shot in Kashmir and Mumbai, the cast of Chase includes Anuj Saxena, Udita Goswami, Samir Kochhar, Aditya Raj Kapoor, Tarina Patel, Rajesh Khattar and Shweta Menon. When the film had rolled, it had created a buzz when original choice Esha Deol had backed out at the last minute.
