Koena Mitra talks about her beau

Koena Mitra on being together with her guy, Mett, for a year now

Koena Mitra's birthday resolution is to be more open in life. Last year, she had admitted to her having a Turkish boyfriend but was not willing to talk about her relationship. Now, that has changed.



The birthday coincides with her completing a year of togetherness with her beau. She says, "I've always said that I will speak about my relationship when my heart and mind says it's forever. Now I know I am sure I want to be with Mett so there's nothing to hide."

Surprise!
Mett surprised Koena by flying down from Turkey to be with her, three days before her birthday. "He kept telling me he wasn't going to be able to make it. He pretended not to remember. But he is full of surprises. As my birthday is on the seventh, he has gotten me seven presents. As of now he has give me twou00a0-- a Chopard watch from the Happy Diamond collection and a four-day holiday to Turkey, including his birthplace Izmir and Ukraine. I have never been to Turkey."

While she is happy to have him by her side she admits that a long-distance relationship is difficult to maintain. "It takes lots of effort but isn't tough. Actually it makes it more interesting as we are not in each other's space 24 hours and we can connect on the phone or internet."

Koena hosted a party for herself last night as she wanted to officially introduce everyone to Mett. "It's the first time I had a party, and I personally took care of every small thing..."u00a0
