While many grudge the rains and the puddles, this man's thrilled every time it's pouring outside. After all, the monsoons inspire him to pen his trademark romantic numbers.

And we all know what a romantic Adnan Sami is. These days the singer-composer is busy with an album that's due by the end of the year. He tells CS why he loves to love:
Lighting up
A Hitler would be incapable of writing a love song, just like an Olio Eglesius would be of calling war. The point being, romance always results in the creation of something beautiful. It is pretty apparent from my music that I am a die hard romantic. But I also have a funny side to myself think Lift Kara De or Kabhi Nahi. Humour is the best way of keeping your spirits high and staying sane.

'Press' on
Humour has seen me through many struggles in life. As clich ufffdd as it might sound, my life is an open book, like any other celebrity's it's been scrutinised and editorialised. But I've been in the business for way too long, to let bad press affect me. As long as my conscience is clear and my work is good, I don't have a problem being judged. I've become immune to it in many ways, but I do get upset when people dear to me are pulled into controversies. I've consciously chosen this career and I know that where there are roses, there will also be thorns. But my family and friends haven't done anything to deserve negative publicity.
Papa kehte hain
Now that Azaan (son) is getting into the industry, as a father I can't keep myself from preparing him for the side effects of fame. But, I'm sure that he'll learn the biggest lessons on the job. Fortunately, he's familiar to this world for the 10 years when he lived with his mom, he was exposed to the showbiz. But I'm sure it's different when you're watching it from a distance and when you're actually thrown into the deep end, and you can't shield your kid forever. Kids these days are very smart ufffd I've realised that they're as protective of us as we are of them. Sometimes when Azaan picks up the newspaper and there's a good story about me, he'll say, 'This is a nice one, baba!' And if supposing I've been ripped apart in an article, he'll say, 'Don't worry about it, it's all cool,' even when I'm not looking upset in the least. I guess that's the best part of loving and being loved!
