On Thursday, IIFA was kickstarted with a press conference with stars like Abhishek Bachchan, Shahid Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Ayushmann Khurrana, Jacqueline Fernandez and others making their presence felt.

However, the award ceremony faced a bit of a hitch yesterday as Madhuri Dixit, who was supposed to be a part of the press conference for her upcoming movie, Gulab Gang, apparently refused to grace the occasion, as she was “jetlagged” travelling from Mumbai to Hong Kong.

The press conference for the film was initially delayed and then postponed for next day, as Mads was apparently too tired to attend the event. Later in the night, IIFA Rocks, the evening for the technical awards was held, while tonight will see the big awards gala.u00a0
