Produced by danseuse Madhu Natraj, Vajra saw a keen audience enjoying a soul stirring dance performance at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall on Wednesday night. Vajra reflected the dance of the Shaman/Maibi (the Manipuri high priestess), tantric design and rituals, shyama sangeet (poetry of Bengal attributed to Kali), and sensuous shringara rasa (the amorous sentiment) in kathak.
