Mandala collection at Design One

If you are looking for festive/wedding season outfits, check out Mandala, the new collection by Mumbai-based designer duo Alpa and Reena.

Inspired by the idea of a mandala (circle), the collection includes Indo-Western ensembles that feature the colours of the seven chakras (energy centres of our body) with one colour for each mood: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

The outfits are a fusion of handcrafted embellishments, traditional embroidery techniques and detailed tailoring. They feature a combination of Maheshwaris, Bandhanis, Leheriyas and Jamawars with nets, lycra and organza highlighted with zardozi, block printing and antique gold sequins to create a regal look.
