Orry opens up on reason for feud with Sara: 'Her mother Amrita Singh....'

Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan and social media influencer Orry’s fallout has been making a buzz on social media platforms and among Bollywood fan communities. While Sara has maintained a dignified silence on the matter, Orry has used his platform to make his feelings towards Sara Ali Khan quite clear. The two, who were once old friends, have now unfollowed each other on social media. Orry has now revealed that his equation with Sara and Ibrahim Ali Khan’s mother, Amrita Singh, is the reason for the feud. Orry on reason for feud with Sara Ali Khan Talking to Hindustan Times about unfollowing Sara Ali Khan, Orry said, "I unfollowed Sara a while ago.. and I haven’t followed Ibrahim in years." He adds, “Pretending to be friends with Sara means pretending to be ok with the trauma her mother put me through and I just don't think I can do that anymore.” "If Amrita Singh were to apologize I could maybe see myself letting it go in the future," said Orry. Orry on taking a dig at Sara's career On Monday, Orry shared a reel in which he gave his own twist to the trending ‘no civic sense’ videos. In the clip, he is seen recording himself while two people argue loudly in the background, disrupting his shoot. In the video, Orry was dressed in a blue mesh top featuring a printed dotted outline resembling a bra. A curious social media user commented, “Genuine question: What exactly is that bra holding together?” To this, Orry replied, “Sara Ali Khan’s hits.” "I don’t really think I said anything wrong about her. I just made a small joke taking a dig at her career. I highly doubt she even felt bad about it; the whole internet makes fun of Sara’s movies all the time. Her biggest body of work is a series of memes that she’s delivered via movies. People make fun of me being jobless all the time. It’s not that deep," he says. When Orry's chat with Palak was leaked  Back in 2024, Orry’s chat with Ibrahim Ali Khan’s rumoured girlfriend and actress Palak Tiwari was leaked. The content of the chat indicated a fallout between the two, with Palak apologising. Orry took to Reddit to react to the social media frenzy that followed. He said, “Why is no one asking what she’s apologising for? Think about it. You all are grilling me for not happily accepting her apology, but she’s obviously apologising for something she did wrong — wrong enough that a third party had to get involved and make her see it correctly.” He added, “Do you think 1) she would apologise, 2) I would post it like that, or 3) others would tell her to apologise if she wasn’t very, very wrong and hadn’t crossed a line? I have friends across all departments — not just young actors — and I have never behaved like this because I’ve never heard such nonsense before.”

Archana Puran Singh

'I retained my dignity': Archana Puran Singh reflects on her hardest phase

Veteran actor Archana Puran Singh has opened up about some of the toughest years of her life and career, candidly reflecting on the financial struggles she faced, the choices she made to survive in the industry, and the emotional journey behind those decisions. In a heartfelt conversation with her husband Parmeet Sethi on her YouTube channel, Archana revealed a phase when she was the family’s main breadwinner and took on every project that came her way — including some she now calls her “worst work.” Archana Puran Singh talks about her struggling days Archana admitted that being the primary earner early in her marriage came with emotional complexities she didn’t fully recognize at the time. “When I married you, I was like, ‘Yes, I am the one who is earning,’” she said, recalling her feelings of pride and responsibility. But she also acknowledged a deeper internal conflict: “Somewhere I had repressed my feminine side, which wanted someone to provide, which wanted me to lean on someone and look up to him, just like my mother looked up to my father.” She confessed that this left her sending mixed signals to Parmeet as she navigated her dual roles as provider and partner. Archana was unapologetically honest about the professional decisions she made in that period. “Another mantra of mine is, I never say no to work. Now I have started saying no to some work,” she said, explaining how necessity often overrode artistic choice. “The result of that was that I did very bad films. I did C‑grade films. Because my mindset was to put bread and butter on the table.” She added that at times she felt frustrated, thinking, “At that time, I felt like if you had stepped up, I wouldn’t have had to do that work.” Parmeet Sethi shares his perspective Parmeet, sharing his perspective, explained that he was younger and still finding his footing in the industry. “At that time, my point of view was that your career had already played out, but my career was forming, and I thought that if I take one misstep, then I would be completely out of the industry. I was trying to become the hero for the longest time,” he said. To this, Archana responded playfully but poignantly, “I also wanted to become a heroine,” highlighting how both had aspirations shaped by their different career stages. “But you were seven years elder to me and ahead of me in career,” Parmeet added. Looking back, Archana said she learned to adapt rather than resent her choices. “I diversified. I became an anchor, a comic lady, I did side roles, bad films, C‑grade films, cheap films, but I retained my dignity,” she reflected. “In all of that, if I would not have maintained my dignity, I would not have been where I am today.” Archana and Parmeet, married for over three decades and parents to two sons, now seem to find strength and humor in the shared memories of their early years, embracing both the struggles and the lessons they brought.

Actor Varun Dhawan recently made headlines after Mumbai metro authorities raised safety concerns after the actor was seen hanging from grab handles inside a coach. The video was shared by the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited on X along with a warning and safe travel guidelines. The video was posted on Monday. However, the authorities pulled down the video on Tuesday.  Varun Dhawan issues clarification On Tuesday, Varun Dhawan's team issued a statement on the matter and clarified that the actor was not fined by the authorities. They also revealed that the authorities have taken down the earlier post.  "We would like to address the recent reports regarding Varun Dhawan and the Mumbai Metro. We wish to clarify that no fine or penalty of any kind has been issued to Varun. The earlier post by the authorities has been taken down, and we appreciate their cooperation in clearing up this misunderstanding. Varun has the utmost respect for the city's rules and the Metro department’s efforts. We are happy to confirm that there are no pending issues, and we thank the media for sharing this accurate update. About Varun Dhawan's metro ride Dhawan was apparently doing pull-ups by holding grab handles inside a metro coach, while a fellow passenger imitates him as others looked on. The actor took a metro ride to visit a theatre that was playing his recently released film Border 2.  In the now deleted post, MMMOCL said grab handles inside metro coaches are meant only for support and not for hanging, cautioning that such behaviour poses safety risks to passengers and may cause damage to public property. "We get it, it is cool to hang out with friends inside our metros, but those grab handles are not for hanging," the operator said. Acts causing nuisance or damage to metro property are punishable under the Metro Railways (Operations and Maintenance) Act, 2002, with penalties and even imprisonment depending on the gravity of the offence, the MMMOCL added. The metro operator urged commuters to travel responsibly and follow safety norms on the Maha Mumbai Metro. "So folks, hang out, but don't hang in there. Travel responsibly on Maha Mumbai Metro," the MMOCL said.

Chitrangda Singh

Chitrangda Singh on how real life experiences shaped her Battle of Galwan role

Chitrangda Singh’s first look from the upcoming film Battle of Galwan has set the tone for a performance rooted in emotional authenticity. Unveiled through the patriotic track Maatrubhumi, the visuals introduce her as a soldier’s wife, a role that steps away from glamour and spectacle, opting instead for restraint, grace, and lived emotion. Dressed in modest traditional attire and minimal makeup, Chitrangda embodies the countless Indian women who stand as silent pillars behind the men in uniform. Chitranga Singh on Battle of Galwan Playing the emotional anchor to Salman Khan’s soldier, Chitrangda brings tenderness, dignity, and stability to the narrative. While the soldier faces the harsh realities at the border, the film positions his wife as the unseen strength at home, representing families who serve the nation in ways often unspoken and unnoticed. Opposite Salman, she looks unexpectedly perfect, their pairing lending the film both warmth and gravitas, making it one of the most compelling casting coups in recent memory. For Chitrangda, the role carried an unexpected personal resonance. Growing up as the daughter of an Indian Army officer, she was familiar with uniforms, postings, and regimented discipline, but prepping for Battle of Galwan gave her a deeper emotional gaze into that world. Speaking about prepping for the role, Chitrangda says, “My father was in the Indian Army, and growing up, listening to his stories was normal for me, but playing the role of an army wife is different. When I met army wives, I understood my mother’s silences, her pride mixed with worry. These women carry that same blend of strength and fear every day. I tried to bring that complexity to the role, not just the smile or the courage, but the part where you learn to hold it together even when your heart is breaking.” More about Maatrubhumi song The song features Salman Khan as an Indian Army officer alongside Chitrangda Singh, with their on-screen pairing appearing refreshingly organic and instantly relatable. Portrayed as a family with two young children, the visuals move seamlessly between moments of warmth within their home and stark, stirring glimpses of the Galwan battlefield. As the family is seen singing Maatrubhumi, these domestic frames are intercut with scenes of duty and conflict, powerfully juxtaposing love, sacrifice, and service to the nation, thereby strengthening the song’s emotional and patriotic impact. Maatrubhumi serves as the emotional and patriotic anchor of Battle of Galwan. The song is composed by Himesh Reshammiya, widely regarded as a master of melodies, who once again delivers a tune that is both soulful and impactful.  Speaking about the song, Himesh said, “Composing Maatrubhumi for Battle of Galwan was deeply emotional. Inspired by the rhythm and intensity of army beats, the song found its soul there. Collaborating with Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal was special, and of course reuniting with Salman Khan, also marking the music release from Salman Khan Films Music label makes it truly memorable.”

Exclusive | Alia Bhatt on raising Raha: No such thing as perfect parenting

Actor and entrepreneur Alia Bhatt, who has always been a hands-on mother to daughter Raha, shares that once you become a parent, your perspective shifts. You start asking questions and become curious, involved, and careful. The supermom has learned to trust her instincts more. She believes that a natural sense of responsibility kicks in, guiding you to make thoughtful decisions for your child.  Alia, who launched the babycare range under Ed-a-Mamma, exclusively tells mid-day there’s no such thing as perfect parenting and wants Raha to experience the feeling of safety and openness that she had growing up.  When choosing what’s best for her daughter, Alia has learned to filter out the noise and focus on what matters – comfort, ease, and reliability. “Once you understand your child’s routine, choosing products becomes much more intuitive. And when in doubt, always check with your doctor,” she says.  Alia Bhatt on the pressure faced by parents  Being a mother has made Alia more empathetic towards other parents and the pressure one feels to get everything right. “You experience all the ups and downs of this journey firsthand. That worry of ‘Am I doing the right thing?’ is something every parent knows. You’re tired, you’re learning, and you’re constantly adjusting as you go. There’s no such thing as perfect parenting. Trust your instincts, take it one day at a time, and be kind to yourself through it all,” she shares as her two cents of wisdom for new parents.  Alia Bhatt on the influence of her own childhood Alia is the daughter of filmmaker-producer Mahesh Bhatt and veteran actor Soni Razdan. She admits that her own childhood influenced the way she cares for her daughter today. “It’s less about copying everything, but certain things, like the feeling of safety and openness I had growing up, I want my child to experience too.  At the same time, you also grow and learn as a parent, figuring things out as you go,” she concludes.  On the acting front, Alia Bhatt is set to feature in Alpha, the first female-led film in YRF's spy universe, alongside Sharvari and Bobby Deol. She will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

A still from Dhamaal 4

Dhamaal 4 postponed again; Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh starrer gets a new date

The much anticipated comedy Dhamaal 4, starring Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, has been postponed once again, with the makers now locking July 3, 2026 as its new theatrical release date. This marks the second shift in the film’s release schedule, as the team aims to avoid major box office clashes and secure a clearer window for the franchise’s return. Dhamaal 4 gets a new release date again Originally scheduled to release on March 19, 2026, during the Eid weekend, the film was expected to benefit from the festive holiday period. However, with several big ticket films lining up for the same window, the makers decided to push the release to June 12, 2026. The decision was taken to ensure the film did not get lost amid stiff competition from large scale action and pan Indian releases. Despite the earlier change, the June slot also proved to be crowded, prompting the producers to rethink their strategy. With multiple high profile films slated for mid June, the team has now moved Dhamaal 4 to early July. Trade sources suggest the new date is considered favourable and gives the film a better chance to attract family audiences during the summer break. Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 brings back the franchise’s original ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra and Jaaved Jaaferi. The film also introduces fresh faces such as Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar and Ravi Kishan, adding new energy to the well loved comedy series. All about the Dhamaal franchise The Dhamaal franchise has enjoyed strong audience support over the years, beginning with Dhamaal in 2007, followed by Double Dhamaal in 2011 and Total Dhamaal in 2019. Known for its slapstick humour, chaotic situations and ensemble driven comedy, the series has remained a popular family entertainer. Produced by Devgn Films, T Series Films, Maruti International and Panorama Studios, Dhamaal 4 completed its shoot last year. With its revised July release, the makers are hopeful the film will deliver a laughter filled cinematic experience without the pressure of competing releases, giving audiences a reason to return to theatres for some light hearted fun.
