Mehr Jessia has just kicked the habit of smoking; hubby Arjun Rampal to follow suit

Close friends reveal that the former supermodel, a regular smoker for years, has given up the habit for now.

A source close to Mehr reveals, "She has been contemplating giving up the craving for nicotine for a long time and now she has finally managed to do it.



Mehr's decision to quit was about setting an example for her daughters, Myra and Mahikaa, rather than a health-related one. It is learnt that before kicking the habit, she researched online.

Says a source close to Mehr, "She read case studies about people who'd successfully quit smoking and how they dealt with withdrawal, etc. All her friends, and especially husband Arjun Rampal have been extremely supportive of her decision."

Arjun, also a smoker, is happy with Mehr's decision. "He's doing his bit by not smoking around her. Inspired by his wife's will power, Rampal too wants kick the butt. Now that Mehr has shown him the way, he feels strong enough to do the same."
