We hear that she is to debut in Reema Kagti's 'Gold' which stars Akshay Kumar, but her real breakthrough film is expected to be choreographer-director Remo D'Souza's untitled dance project starring Salman Khan.
"The casting is in process, and she has emerged one of the strongest contenders to be his heroine. Salman, too, has been rooting for her. So in all likelihood, it will work out by the end of this month," a source says.
In an earlier interview, D'Souza had said, "We will be able to lock the cast only by October. The biggest challenge right now is to cast the kid who will play Salman's daughter in the film. The final cast will be subject to change depending on how she looks on screen with him." Roy didn't respond to our text message for a confirmation while D'Souza said it was too early to announce the decision.
