Madhur Bhandarkar isn't known for repeating his heroines. He'll be making an exception in Mugdha Godse's case. The actress, who debuted with Madhur's Fashion will now be seen in his next, Jail. The buzz is that her character seems to be inspired by Rhea Pillai.

In the movie, Neil is a common man who goes behind the bars for no fault of his. Although in real life, Rhea was Sanjay Dutt's love interest, Neil's character is in no way connected to Sanju Baba's life. Neil's story is very different."

The source continues, "Mugdha and Neil have a live-in relationship in the movie. Due to bad company, Neil has to go behind bars. The actress plays a typical lover who supports him during his stay in Jail.

She helps him out with lawyers, and helps to get all the proofs to prove him right. Like Rhea, she stays by him through thick and thin. Mugdha will be seen in a de-glam role wearing very basic make-up."

Jail is co-produced by Percept Picture Company and Bhandarkar Entertainment.

Pyaar ki ek kahaani suno...

The Sanjay Dutt-Rhea Pillai love story began when Dutt was in prison. When an unkempt Dutt would be taken for hearings, pictures of Rhea, holding on to her boyfriend's finger from the wired windows of the police van, hit the front pages. They spoke of true love in transient times.

An emotional Sanjay reportedly stated, 'Love is what Rhea did when I was in jail. The future was bleak; there was no security or commitment.

But she did not let the relationship die. Later, Sanjay Dutt, known to be impulsive, took Rhea by surprise when he proposed to her at a Valentine's Day party.

The two headed straight to a Sai-Baba mandir in Mumbai, woke the priest out of his reverie, and became man and wife.
