Naseeruddin Shah was in Aligarh recently visiting his alma mater, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) where he studied English literature. The varsity's vice-chancellor, Zameeruddin Shah, is Naseer's brother.

This further fuelled his interest in staging the masterpieces. At 17, he knew he wanted to be an actor. The professors even helped him seek admission at the National School of Drama, New Delhi.
