Though busy with IPL 3, Preity Zinta has taken time out to offer support to filmmaker Shandar Amrohi who has often said he sees a "spiritual daughter" in Preity. Last week, Shandar (son of late filmmaker Kamal Amrohi), who is involved in a property dispute with his sister Rukhsar and her son Waseem, had requested the police to arrest the two for stealing his share certificates and transferring them to their own names. However, the police refused to register the case till an investigation could be conducted. This affected Preity who tweeted about the delay in registering an FIR on the social networking site Twitter. She even went with Shandar to the police station.
When Shandar finally filed a civil suit against his relatives on Friday, Preity was not present in the High Court but her spokesperson was.
